EPBCS, How to enable budgeting by Employee functionality after using budgeting by Job for a year in

Assuming that a customer enabled the functionality of planning by job in EPBCS workforce module. Down the line after a year, customer decides to do the planning process by Employees. What would be the process to achieve this and what will happen to the functionality which was previously enabled?
