Inception to date hours calculation

Has anyone figured out how to do a DBA calculation based on inception to date hours?  

No matter how I try to build the calculation I am only able to get it to look at current hours, not inception to date hours.

The source of calculation = I - Inception to date doesn't have any bearing, neither does Table method HP, which is supposed to be based on inception to date hours.
