Can Approve Shipment option in P4915 re-calculate the promised ship dates automatically?

We are using transportation in JDE 9.2 for sales orders. The setup is pretty standard, where a shipment status = 10 when created, and moves to 25 when the shipment is approved.

When a sales order has been entered for immediate delivery and left for several days before the shipment is approved using P4915, the promised shipment date & delivery date is not recalculated. This indicates that the shipment is in the past. We can manually get the dates recalculated by selecting the appropriate option using the row exit "Routing Options" (see screen shot below). Is there a way that Approve Shipment will do this without the manual step? It has all the necessary information to do this, hence the green tick displayed in Shipment Routing.
