Cancelling PO Quantity in AIP(Advanced Inventory Planning)

AIP V14.1

When a PO is cancelled in AIP, its status is immediately set to close in NON_CONTENTS_ORDER table.

Should it ideally send a  message to RMS containing details of the cancellation. Subsequently, RMS should close the PO and send an overnight message back to AIP updating the status of the PO in AIP to closed.?
