EPBCS, Adding Custom Business Rules in EPBCS applications

Does pre-built EPBCS modules supports custom Business rules wherever we need to achieve some business requirements?

Is it possible to plug in custom built business rules in pre-built EPBCS modules wherever required to meet business needs? If yes, will it affect the pre-built/standard logic?
