Changes in Backup network post deployment

Hi everyone.

We have an Exadata x6-2 with the a basic network configuration

Eth0 : admin network

Eth1 +eth2  : bonded for client network

Eth3:  backup network

Eth4: empty

Eth5: empty

We want to move the backup network from eth3 (copper) to one or  both of the fiber ports ( if the bond is required with  eth4 eth5)

Questions

Is it mandatory to configure a bondeth1 with eth4 and eth5  or we can setup only one of the ports?

For availability purposes we would like to configure the fiber network in parallel to reduce impact, that means that at some point we will have the copper and fiber network active.  Is this supported?
