Can I send the output of the Journal Import process via email?

We run the Program - Journal Import process for a 3rd party journal interface daily.  We want the output to be sent, via email, to a few end users.  We have set the Upon Completion options with the email addresses of the required users, but an email is never sent.  The email process does work for other processes, for instance it automatically sent the users the output of the standard trial balance report.  Any reason why it would not work for the Journal Import process?
