user defined inventory item transaction type with a stadard source type cannot be tracked in install

Hi everyone:

why install base cannot track any inventory transaction with user defined transaction type?

here is the problem i have met with:

1.create an item that was tracked in install base(serial control);

2.create an user defined item transaction type(source type: account alias receipt , activity:Receipt into stores);

3.receive the item into inventory(no transaction history in instance searching page);

4.transfer the item from one subinventory to another subinventory using stadard functionality: subinventory transfer;

5.met with an error in IB transasction Errors Processing form with the error message:(Invalid Inventory Location. Either the Inventory Organization or the Subinventory or the Locator location passed is  invalid or does not exist in the Inventory tables, for Instance Location Type "INVENTORY");
