Does running R08118 clear the existing records?

Am I safe to assume that when running the Periods of Employment build (R08118) for ACA, the existing prior year records are cleared from the table and current year records are populated as part of the build?  There is no mention of this in the processing guide (Doc ID 2333492.1).  Do I need to delete prior records manually before processing for current year?
