Client connections hang intermittent

Oracle ver. 9i. (Oracle 9.2.0.1) on AIX 5.2. Oracle client is running Forms/Reports ver. 4.5

User connections to Oracle DB server hangs intermittently. Sometime 2 to 3 times a day,sometimes 1x a day.

The issue started recently.

tnsping Ok. Listener status Ok. Connection from Oracle server console is stable.

How to troubleshoot and find an effective solution.
