FSA Annual Limit Exceeded with Arrears Payback
I have an employee that had FSA Dependent Care go into arrears the next to last paycheck of the year.
On the last paycheck of the year, instead of PeopleSoft taking 2x's the deduction, it took 3. No one entered an adjustment for her on payline.
It looks like the system both took the remaining balance in the last paycheck of the year (what would be 2 payments) in addition it took the amount that was in arrears.
Should FSA amounts go into arrears, since the system auto calculates each pay cycle? If not, why has it worked at other times during the year, but not on the last paycheck?
