EBS Upgrade to R12.2, what happens to older patches?

Hi there,

We have done a test upgrade from EBS R12.1.2 to R12.2.5 and found no older patches that were applied on R12.1.2 are available on newer version in R12.2.5. However, we can see those patches applied in database attached to R12.2.5 applications.

Is this something expected?

How come get all those patches back from older version to newer one?

Seeking valuable response.
