Hyperion Shared Services - LDAP error for Novell eDir

I had a development instance of Hyperion 11.1.2.4 up and running just fine.

Then I was required to change the administration password for the service account. I edited the login information for the local services in windows and also in the EPM configuration. Now the previously working provider configuration in Shared Services for Novell eDirectory LDAP is failing with EPMCSS-05138:Failed to validate Security configuration. Failed to connect. .

Even though I can connect using the tools LDAP Admin from the same server.

Any ideas?
