I'm trying to run a master audit report of all the contacts that have been updated or deleted. Is t

We need to know all of the contacts that have been validated or added in the past year.  When I run the audit it shows user changes, opportunity changes and activities.  I don't see any contact creation outside of records being created for opportunities.  Also how far can I go back.  I ran the audit report on myself and it only shows a fraction of what I have been doing in there.
