Scroll bar "jumps" in Databrowser when using Chrome

I have a most perplexing issue with Chrome and our JD Edwards 9.2 Databrowser. I am hoping someone has seen something similar to this:

When we launch Databrowser and search on large tables (say F4311), when we scroll all the way to the right end of the grid--and then try to scroll from right to left again--the scroll bar keeps jumping back all the way to the right side again.

I have tried the Smooth Scrolling option in Chrome (detailed here https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=301267252299887&parent=EXTERNAL_SEARCH&sourceId=PROBLEM&… ) but it had no effect.

Anyone have any ideas? I am at a loss as to what could be causing this...
