Purpose of FA SLA Source 'Distribution_Type_Code'?

For Oracle Assets there is a Subledger Accounting Source called DISTRIBUTION_TYPE_CODE, display name 'Distribution Type Code'. This source is referenced by some of the conditions attached to several Journal Line Types for Event Class 'Depreciation'. Does anyone know what this source refers to and what values are valid to be combined with it in a Journal Line Type Condition ('DEPRN' is one)?
