Has anyone been able to get dbstart/stop service to work using the Service Management Facility?

I'm trying to follow Chapter 15 in Managing System Services in Oracle Solaris 11.2.  I've created oracle and oracle.xml but when the server is bounced, the service has errors and exits with 95.  I can't find any logs that help me understand what the error is.
