TFA email notifications on "Oracle 12cR1 on Windows 2012R2" systems

Hi,

After reviewing the following TFA Oracle Online Doc. - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E91263_01/TFAUG/automatic-diagnostic-collection.htm#TFAUG-GUID-45A5F39E-B1A6-4F89-947D-EA9E8FBA7ED5

It is not clear to me if this "email notification" feature is supported in "Oracle 12cR1 on Windows 2012R2" systems.

Could you clarify if this is true or not?

If it is supported, how can I sanity-check / smoke-test that the email notification is working properly?

I found it strange that all you need to setup this is to provide a "To" email address:

tfactl set notificationAddress=...

Normally for this kind of configuration you are asked to provide the SMTP server, a "From" email address and optionally credentials to authenticate against the SMTP server?
