How do I hide a constant in RDA

I have a field that I am trying to hide in RDA.  I have no trouble hiding the actual field (item properties - advanced - uncheck visible).

When I try to do the same for the constant, there is no way to make it visible.  I can delete the constant, but it has Event rules attached and that causes errors.

How do I hide a constant in RDA?
