ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only, until freed.

Dear All,

Greetings,

Facing following issue due to huge archives generation. When we face this issues we backup archives delete from asm volume and then connect. Daily archival generation is about 500 GB.

ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only, until freed.

How can I identify main reason for huge archival and how to cope with such kind of issue. 500 GB archival is huge and it is increasing with time.
