Leave accrual balance going into the negative. Is there a way to prevent this?

We are on HCM 9.2, PT8.54 and are up-to-date on the latest image.  For leave accruals, some employees have negative balances because they took more time than they had.  Is there a flag anywhere in PeopleSoft or any sort of setup to prevent the leave accrual balance from going into the negative?   It would be preferred to just let it stay at zero.
