When is the correct time to do the payroll month rollover for DBAs when payroll period crosses two y

Hello,

The first payroll of payroll cycle master crosses two years, meaning that some days of this payroll period are worked in 2017 and some of the days are worked in 2018 and the pay day is in 2018.

My question is when should do we do the payroll month rollover for DBAs, prior to this payroll period or after running this payroll period?
