what if checking 'create fixed asset' but not using stadard request to update item instance

Hi everyone:

what if  i only use the  check box 'create fixed asset' as a sign for this item when creating it, but not using standard request in asset tracking to update the  item instance and asset?  as i have noticed there will be many 'pending' status IB transactions in item instance transaction history, what if i do not use stadard request to complete them? will there be any error that will compromise this module and related part like EAM or INV?
