Hello,

We have several databases on versions 11g and 12c and most of the databases we are reaching no of databases close to  200 .. db_files parameter set to 200

in order to increase this value, I am researching below.

what's the default value -- I see its 200

whats the oracle recommended value

and is there any issues if we increase this value more than 200.

some online blogs say, there will be performance issue if we increase this value ? what kind of issues we get and is it recommended to increase when required ?

also, we do have rac 4 node and again 4 node standby and i see as per below doc, instance shutdown in rolling fashion is not recommeded and a complete database bounce is required ... do we need to bounce database ?
