Negative adjustment with cost less than its NBV

Hi all,

We are in peoplesoft 9.2 asset management and user have created a asset with cost of $10,000 in 2012 and its current NBV is 2000$(say). Now user have created a Negative adjustment of 10,000 and system allowed it. Is it a valid transaction? Should peoplesoft stop these kind of transactions? I see a warning message is populated as negative asset would be created.
