UPGCUST PT/pside version issue with PUM (and compare report Source/Target clarification)

After a PT upgrade from 8.54 to 8.55.14, and after the RFU for CS 9.0 bundle #47 to 9.2.007, my CA (Change Assistant) UPG's UPGCUST Compare task decided my compare’s Source is my new copy-of-prod (ESISQAD5…known everywhere else as my Target) while my Target is my PUM (CS92U007). Explicit excerpts from the UPGCUST_compare2.log:

-CD Source Database Name = ESISQAD5

-TD Target Database Name = CS92U007

1. Could you please confirm that these unfortunately-named parameters are indeed correct?

Under the belief that they are correct, my second question has to do with my apparent catch-22. The compare erred, so I tried running the compare from my command line and received the same message (as expected):
