Can Fluid be inabled for MOBILE INVENTORY only in 9.2?

The Client has upgraded to 9.2 but is not enabling Fluid for the enterprise. They currently do not have inventory installed but are in the process of implementing with a golive in about 9 months. Since Mobile via ADF will not be supported after March 2018 can Mobile Inventory be used only via Fluid without impacting the rest of the organization?
