Unable to add Item to Solution in Knowledge Management

I am testing the set up of KM and when I try to add an Item to the solution the Add Items page opens but the search function does not allow searches.

Am I missing a Profile Option that allows the integration between KM and INV?

Default Validation Org is set correctly.
