Application Query Security on Custom App/BSVW

I have a custom find/browse form that is built over a BSVW with joins on 5 tables. When running the application, a JAS db error is received upon clicking find. This prompted us to turn on application query security (based on the info in the logs).

With query security 'ON' for BSVW fields (not configured fields), the application now pops up the message to click ok or cancel to either enter in a filter field (BSVW field) value or continue to do the open find. If I click cancel (i.e. continue with the open find), I get a JAS db error. Note that with 9.2.2.1 this was working occasionally (no error and the find worked as expected). With 9.2.2.2, we are consistently getting a JAS error. Using a different browser makes no difference.

Howdy, Stranger!
