Can you change the preference/pricing hierarchy afterwards? like add another level before the existi

Say you have advanced preferences or advanced pricing set up with a one level hierarchy of Customer Group/All Items.  You have all the adjustment details setup.  What if you want to add another level of customer/All Items before the current level.  How can you add this new level of detail without losing all existing adjustment details that you have already set up?
