Siebel instance split
Hi,
We need to create separate Siebel instance due to organization alignment. We have 2 business groups using single instance.
Now, we need to create separate instance. I would say the functions, modules and interfaces are in 60:40 percent , We need to takeout 40% of objects and create new instance.
We are using Siebel 8.15 and patchset 10. No plan to upgrade to Siebel 17 now.
What are the major admin tasks or risks involved in creating separate Siebel 8.15 instance?
How to copy DB into new DB?
Is there any best practices?
Any templates or checklist to follow for smooth transition?
