Flexfiled segment behaviour

Hallo Experts,

I understand that 12.2.5 offers more security functions with key flex fields. Can you suggest solution for the following requirement.

We want users to be able to change/update only certain segments from the accounting flex field. Is there a way to make certain segment read only while others within the KFF remains updatable?

If not any other method of doing it?
