Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hi,

I am a little bit confused about the alpha calculation in method 11.

In the document 631350.1 it says that alpha is calculated by a formula 2/(N+2)

In 9.2 forecasting documentation there is no mention of this formula and the examples shown in the documentation it uses alpha= 01 to 0.4.

Which one shall I consider?
