Disabled the Supplier by entering inactive date, but from backend “ENABLED_FLAG” column in table AP_

Hi we have disabled the Supplier by entering inactive date, but from backend “ENABLED_FLAG” column in table AP_SUPPLIERS is still showing “Y”. Please advice why this column is not updated.
