Are Tomcat plugins required to make Siebel IP17 servlet components work with IIS as Reverse Proxy?

2018FEB05 Servlet Question

1.       We are upgrading to Siebel IP17.

2.       Our environment uses OAM. We have been told the Webgate clients are not compatible with Apache Tomcat (the containers used in IP17).

3.       We have been advised to use an alternative, a reverse proxy server that could host the Webgate client.

4.       Our environment had been using IIS for webservers and had already hosted the Webgate clients. We are considering using IIS for the reverse proxy.

5.       I found a note on the Tomcat stating that to make IIS work with java servlets hosted on Tomcat servers would require the installation of a plugin for Tomcat.

Howdy, Stranger!
