Customer Form - Communication tab - Cannot see what phone numbers were removed

I found this note Customer Form, Contacts Issue: After R12 Upgrade, Contact & Contact Roles In Table Do Not Appear On Communication Tab (Doc ID 1264148.1)and Bug 9129264 : CAN'T FIND AN INACTIVE TELEPHONE ENTRY IN R12 UNDER CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION TAB  Cannot restore or see the removed phone number for a customer account
Steps to reproduce:

  • Query an existing customer
  • Navigate to the Communication tab - at the Customer Account Level
  • You see the phone number listed there
  • Remove that phone number
  • The phone number record disappears from the form, you have no option of restoring it, or seeing what phone numbers were removed.
