Copy notes from Standard Sales Orders to Internal Sales Orders

We have a business requirement to copy notes both at the sales order header and individual sales order lines to a corresponding internal sales order. Generally these are various manufacturing specific instructions etc. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?
