we are going to patch our redhat DB server from 6.6 to 6.9 i have 4 nodes i want to try the patching

we are going to patch our redhat DB server from 6.6 to 6.9 i have 4 nodes i want to try the patching  on one node only then close this node for one week till the Downtime of the  upgrade , is this scenario will make issue  ? the node i will patch i will close  it after patching successfully done on it .. i know that oracle support rac with mixed OS version for 24 hours only .. but my what iF i close the node after patching
