UK EDI Decommissioning - apply both patches?

Can you advise if we should apply both the EDI patch (containing B2B solution) and TYE 17/18 patches (containing 18/19 XML files)?

We are not planning to use the B2B solution straight away, but hope to at some point in the future.  Is there other functionality which would mean that it is advisable to have the EDI patch applied now anyway?

We'll also want to test current year XML submissions in light of HMRC not allowing 18/19 files to be tested on their system until mid March.  Would we be able to test 17/18 XML files through the TYE patch only?

Your advice is appreciated.
