How to create Service contract without serial# for non-serialized items?

We have scenario where software or subscriptions types of services items need to be created in IB as Non-serialized items. The requirement is to have only one IB record created even when there is more than 1 quantity. This can be achieved by having profile option for Non-serialized item enabled to have single IB record with total quantities value. However we need solution to be able to create service contract in Oracle for such items which do not have serial#.
