Custom Copy of Encumbrance Detail Report (XML) affected by CPU security Patching

I made a copy of the Encumbrance Details Report(XML) report only to change the source field to vendor name.  This worked just fine.  Then we had to add extensive security CPU patches.  I think it affected the seeded report too because we had to add patch.22066437:R12.PO.B. to fix the seeded report.  This fix gives a new RTF template POXPEDR_XML.rtf version 120.0.12010000.12.  So I copied the new template and loaded it for my custom report.  Now the custom report doesn't hang anymore; but now it returns no records.  To say my custom report only had a field change and nothing else,
