Standard warranty creation through API

Hi,

We have many item instances which has been shipped to customer and also created in install base. How ever there were no warranty item attached in the BOM at the time of shipping. Hence warranty contract did not get created. Now if we attach the warranty item in BOM for these items with the dates earlier than shipping date and also do other required setup then is there any API available to create standard warranty for these items. There is one solution to expire and unexpire the serial in install base but this is not feasible.

Could you please help if it is possible to create warranty through API . We are in 11.5.10.2 version.
