T3-1 web gui serial redirect does not show console.

I have 5 T3-1 servers giving me headaches with the serial redirect applet. These are used systems so I don't know the history of them.

1) on 2 of them when the serial redirect is launched all is displayed is KB/MOUSE NOT FOUND in bold white letters.

2) 3 of them when the serial redirect starts, the jnlp applet launches the video redirect. If I save the jnlp file to my desktop and re-launch, I enter

the root creds, and then select Serial from the drop down selection, then it works.

How do I default the applets to get them to function properly? these have the latest Firmware/OBP from MOS loaded on them.
