Expense Email Notifications to Prepay Auditors

Is there a way to configure the email notification system for expenses to not send emails to the prepay auditors?  We have around 1,500 expense reports processed a day and our auditors do not want their inbox to be flooded with request for approval emails when they work from the approval listing.
