Enterprise One ADF Application

Hi,

We are developing ADF application for JDE E1(9.2.1.1  tool release, 9.1 application release). We want to develop adf application where we can search, inset and updates item in JDE.
Can we directly create EO(Entity Object) and View Object from JDE table to update and inset record.
We want this application as JDE E Object.

Is is required to use AIS server?

Do we need to required use rest service only to inser,update data?

Need help on this. Small tutorials will help lot.
