Sales Order Split Line

Hi All,

Sales Order Line get split via back order (R42118 & R42520)  but i want to know based on what logic it split the line quantity

For instance Order Number 17000098 S6 with Item number D-110E quantity 20 EA

Out of 20 quantity 3 is available and 17 gets back ordered so based on what logic JDE will split lines and assign quantity per line

My 2nd query is related Back order for serialized item number and non serialized item number

How back order functionality works with  serialized  item number as compared to non serialized item number ?
