password file

Hello,

just basic question...

for any version, let's say 11g or 12c..

my password file is under asm file system not on regular file system.

I changed sys password and local file system it changed under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs with latest timestamp.

but when i changed in database where password file resides on ASM, the time stamp was not updated..

my question was.. if i change SYS password and it changed successfully means.. the password file on ASM should have latest time stamp.. Is this correct ?

i don't see latest time stamp, it shows jan 18 then it means it was not updated in password file...  Is that correct  ?
