Grouping SO lines for shipping

Hi,

Our Sales Orders lines may refer to a Group of "Make" Items aimed to be shipped at the same requested date, but as consequence of an incident on one "Make" item, we need to "wait" for its availability to be shipped, in order to execute the Group Shipping.

Could somebody help us to identify ways to use the OM in this kind of situation.
