Solaris 11 xdmcp/x11-server

Hi all.

I'm running Solaris 11 and I'm trying to connect to it using xdmcp and OpenText Exceed. I have enabled xdmcp in /etc/gdm/custom.conf but I still don't see the server show up in my desktop xdmcp choose. After poking around for a bit, I noticed that not only is x11-server not running, it doesn't even show up in the list when I run svcs -a.

I found x11-server.xml in /lib/svc/manifest/application/x11. I'm still pretty new to Solaris 11, so I tried to import it using svccfg, thinking that it would make it available to run again. Then I found the svcadm restart manifest-import command, hoping that this command would put it back in the list, and it didn't.
