PO output for communication email

How to check whether PO output for communication email has been sent to supplier email or not. The user is saying that the email did not go to the supplier email. The email is populated on the Standard PO and the same is defined on the contact directory for the site and communication method is set as email. Can you please help me on how to check whether email is sent to supplier or not.PO
